Southampton Arts Center Hosts Film Screening of Lilly
(Southampton, NY – August 11, 2026) Southampton Arts Center (SAC) is pleased to host a film screening of Lilly on Thursday, September 3rd from 5:00 – 7:30 pm.
LILLY is a poor, Alabama tire factory worker whose singular goal is to lift her family into the middle class. Toward that goal, she endures a dehumanizing work environment, plagued by pervasive harassment, for the sake of that paycheck. But as retirement approaches, Lilly makes a startling revelation; for twenty years the company has been paying her only half of what her male counterparts receive. Outraged, Lilly’s fight for justice takes her all the way to the Supreme Court and the power corridors of Congress. With a heart-stirring love story at its center, LILLY follows the transformation of an ordinary citizen into the face of an issue, illuminating the personal cost of activism. LILLY has also premiered at the Hamptons International Film Festival.
Following the film, a panel discussion and reception will take place featuring film director Rachel Feldman (via Zoom), Executive producer Wendy Federman, and Academy Award Nominee Patricia Clarkson, moderated by entrepreneur, philanthropist, and producer Cheri Kaufman. Lilly has premiered at the Hamptons International Film Festival.

ABOUT RACHEL FELDMAN:
A veteran dramatic television director, Rachel Feldman wrote and directed LILLY, her first theatrical feature film, starring Oscar nominated actor Patricia Clarkson, John Benjamin Hickey and Thomas Sadoski, now streaming on NETFLIX. Molly Haskell calls LILLY, “One magnificent movie.” Variety writes that it’s, “One of the best overlooked films of 2025.”
Feldman’s recent television credits include multiple episodes of: “Blue Bloods,” “Criminal Minds,” “The Rookie” and the pilot and first season of the Netflix series, “The Baxters.” Early in her career, she had the great pleasure to direct classics such as: “Doogie Howser M.D.,” “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman,” “Picket Fences,” “The Commish,” and “Sisters.” Feldman also directed genre movies, “She’s No Angel” for Lifetime Television and “Witchcraft III” for the SyFy Channel.
As a screenwriter who creates worlds in genres from dark to light, Feldman’s shingle, DollFace Films, is dedicated to the development of female-forward features and series that challenge the status quo for women and girls. DollFace screenplays, “Love Notes” and “Recipe for a Perfect Christmas” were produced by Lifetime Television, other screenplays have been optioned by Marc Platt Prods, Mark Canton’s Cinelou, Lakeshore Ent, eOne, Double Nickel Entertainment and ABCFamily. Feldman’s spec pilot, KINKS, won two WGA awards, as well as Screencraft’s Best Pilot, Breaking Through the Lens and CannesSeries awards.
Early in her film career, Feldman worked as a storyboard artist for well-known directors on studio pictures. Her degrees are from Sarah Lawrence College, Parsons School of Design and NYU Grad Film. Feldman was a child actor with a thriving career, best known for voicing Lucy in Peanuts animation.
From the Bronx, Feldman identifies with a New York state of mind, despite having lived in L.A. for more than half her life. The third child and only girl born to first generation Americans, her perspective is imbued with a birthright sensitivity to societal hierarchies that’s led to a fascination with justice. “I’ve devoted my creative life to mastering the tapestry of skills required to transform ideas into cinematic, emotional experience. I believe story can change culture.”
ABOUT WENDY FEDERMAN: Wendy Federman is a 17-time Tony Award winning theatre producer. She has also received 4 Olivier Awards, 17 Drama Desk Awards, 23 Outer Critics Circle Awards, 21 Drama League Awards, and 3 GLAAD Media Awards for many of her over 110 productions, which have garnered 130 Tony Awards. Wendy is also a film producer, with credits including Wakefield, starring Bryan Cranston; The God Committee, starring Kelsey Grammer; Which Way to the Stage, a documentary on Idina Menzl; and LILLY, starring Patricia Clarkson and the upcoming SWIFTIES documentary.
Wendy’s current and upcoming Broadway/off-Broadway productions include Hadestown, Moulin Rouge!, Buena Vista Social Club, Much Ado About Nothing, Inter Alia, Purple Rain, Evita, The Play that Goes Wrong, and Little Shop of Horrors.
In the UK, Wendy serves as a Lead Producer on the new musical 13 Going on 30, in addition to co-producing The Devil Wears Prada, Sinatra the Musical, Hadestown, Moulin Rouge, High Society, Cyrano, and the upcoming Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf, Rent and The Lives of Others.

ABOUT PATRICIA CLARKSON:
Patricia Davies Clarkson has starred in numerous leading and supporting roles in a variety of films ranging from independent film features to major film studio productions. Her accolades include a Golden Globe Award and three Primetime Emmy Awards, in addition to nominations for an Academy Award and a Tony Award.
Clarkson studied acting at the Yale School of Drama before making her feature film debut in Brian De Palma's mob drama The Untouchables (1987). She acted in a string of films including The Dead Pool (1988), High Art (1998), The Green Mile (1999), The Pledge (2001), Far from Heaven (2002), and Dogville (2003).
